The 7 Mountains
A Video Series on the 7 Mountains Of Culture
A Video Series
The 7 mountains represent the 7 faces of God to society. God expresses his love through practical solutions for every problem that exists in every area of culture - Media, Family, Arts & Entertainment, Economy, Education, Religion, and Government.
The Mountain of Media
In the area of culture referred to as MEDIA (how life is reported), we see God as COMMUNICATOR, the color RED. He is LOVE displayed as BLESSING. This is the blessing that comes to our hearts and our nations when love is communicated. Just as words spoken over us as individuals affect our personal identity, words spoken through media outlets also affect the identity of a city or nation. Media can be a tool to receive the blessing of knowing that we fit into a good plan of a good God, even when immediate circumstances tempt us to believe that we are victims of random circumstances apart from the sovereignty of God.
The Mountain of Arts & Entertainment
In the area of culture referred to as ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT, we see God as CREATOR, the color YELLOW. He is LOVE displayed as GLORY. This is the glory of God’s creativity coming through humanity—through His children who are made in the image of their Creator. When we see the glory of God’s creativity coming through others, it was meant to remind us that He loves us enough to give us a glory of our own. Your glory is your uniqueness, what you are known for, and what makes you, you.
The Mountain of Economy
In the area of culture referred to as ECONOMY, we see God as PROVIDER, the color GREEN. He is LOVE displayed as RICHES. These are the riches of God’s love expressed as the abundance of resources through our economy. Our world economic system was meant to reflect the heart of God as our Provider, and when it does, we will know it because there will be no lack. To the degree that love, as riches, is poured out as practical resources and basic needs are met for quality of life for all of humanity, we can know that God is involved in our economy—whether it’s our personal, national, or global economic status.
The Mountain of Family
In the area of culture referred to as FAMILY, we see God as PAPA, the color ORANGE. He is LOVE displayed as STRENGTH. This is the strength that family was meant to be for us—the strength of bloodline, heritage, and inheritance. It is a generational strength that was meant to help us as individuals stand against the storms of life when everything else falls apart and the one safe place you can always come back to for acceptance and love. Strength, through families, is the foundational fabric of every nation.
The Mountain of Education
In the area of culture referred to as EDUCATION, we see God as TEACHER, the color INDIGO/DEEP BLUE. He is LOVE displayed as WISDOM. This is the wisdom we were meant to grow in through our education experiences. Wisdom is the understanding of when and how to apply facts, truth, and experiences. In order to become wise, we must encounter the wonder and awe of all God has made and set into motion within a safe environment that allows us the freedom to discover for ourselves that all of it points back to Him. God Himself, as Teacher, convinces us that we are far more important than what He is teaching us and, because we are important, He has important things to teach us.
The Mountain of Religion
In the area of culture referred to as RELIGION, we see God as REDEEMER, the color BLUE. He is LOVE displayed as HONOR. This is the honor that shows God authentic reverence, value, and deep respect, which is far from simply following religious rules or behaving out of obligation and performance. Honor, through religion, was meant to be infused into how we not only live towards Him but towards others as well.
The Mountain of Government
In the area of culture referred to as GOVERNMENT, we see God as KING, the color PURPLE. He is LOVE displayed as POWER. This is the power that was meant to be seen through a good government. This kind of power is incorrupt authority that exists for the purpose of serving and protecting people’s freedoms—which allows citizens to live in a safe environment and have the freedom to discover for themselves who they can be and who God is. This kind of government allows its citizens to believe they can be successful and thrive, not just survive. L
